Family is the name of the game this approaching holiday season...

It seems like I have been doing alot more family sessions lately and I am loving it. I have done quite a few the last 3 wks and I love the different personalities that each family and each member of the family bring. Hope you enjoy your Preview "H" family. Lots more to come.

I read your tips on what to wear. I experimented with my girls and put them in bright colors with vests. LOVED how they turned out. I plan to do some with scarves soon. Who doesn't love to accessorize!

Questions and Answers About Your Photo Shoot

Q: When should I schedule a newborn session.

A: New born sessions are shot within the first 10 days of babys birth while the baby is still fresh and sleepy. To book your newborn session it is best to do it while you are still pregnant. Just let me know when your anticipated due date is and we will go from there. Most of the time sessions will take place in the comfort of your own home. It is best to have baby in clothing that is not bulky or none at all.

Q: When should I have maternity pictures taken?

A: Maternity sessions will be shot in third trimester when that cute baby bump is more pronounced. Simple clothing is best for maternity shoots. Having Daddy and siblings present and ready for pictures is always a plus.

Q:What do we wear?

A: Wear something you feel great in and that fits your personality. Dont be afraid to wear color and fun accessories.

Boys and Girls:Layered clothing looks great. So think Fun colorful or even funky. Layered shirts or vests, Skirts with leg warmers or leggings, boots, hats, tutus or ties, but think casual not sunday dress.
TIP: In my experience individual pictures of kids usually turn out better when parents kind of hang back and let the child be themselves.

Senior: Be yourself but wear something comfortable and casual that portrays who you are and your personality.

Family and Engagement: Dont dress the same. Choose a few colors and incorprate each into everyones outfits. Everyone needs to have thier own style while still coordinating.

Q: Where will our pictures be taken?

A: I love doing outside pictures and using the suns natural light. I do have a few locations that I like to use but am always up for suggestions. I will say though that park are not the best places for pics. The toys destract the kids and when there are alot of people around you will get random strangers in the background ruining an otherwise perfect shot.

Q:How much will my session cost?

A: Sessions start at $150 for 1 person up to six. For every person after that its $10 a person. I will work something out with you if you want pictures for a very large family. All sessions include a cd of 15 edited full resolution pictures and copy rights. This allows you to print the pictures yourself as many times as you want and when you want. However I do reccomend going through me for pictures bigger than 8x10. The pictures will be sized to print that size and smaller and wont look as good if you try to print bigger. Payment is due at the end of the session.

Q:When should I expect to recieve my cd with my edited pictures on it?

A: It takes me about three weeks to get them edited and resized for printing. Each picture gets sized three different times, 4x6- 5x7- and 8x10. I try to do my best to get them done quickly. Thanks for your patience.
